Don't want emails but still want to be notified about posts?
I was wondering if there's a way that I can get a notification to pop up on the site without sending me an email if someone posts on either a thread I've started or a thread I've posted on. It would make my life much easier. Suggestions?

Idk if this is what you are looking for but you can change your notification settings by going to your settings and changing it there (click settings on the top right hand, and then go to general settings from there). There is one setting where it doesn't send you an email and only will show a post on your control panel, but that is the only other setting that is not email based. But idk if that is hat you are looking for.

A fool flaunts what wisdom he thinks he has, while a wise man will show that he is wise silently.

What he said. you can change it so you can get notifications via your control panel. Then when you log in to the sight click on the "Settings" tab. It will list and threads you have participated in that have new comments.
Hope this helps.

You need to change the thread subscription option - by default you automatically get subscribed for email notifications on threads you post into.
As far as getting a forum notification instead of email I don't think that's possible with the standard software.
