The ads are the banners at the top and to the right of the posts - most of them are from the site sponsors (no issues there), but some are filled by google (in principle shouldn't be issues with those either bit it's possible that a rogue advertiser violates google's TOS and tries something sketchy and google doesn't catch them immediately).
