Thanked: 220Log In
Hi everyone ,
I'm just curious if everybody has to log in their Username & Password every time they link up to SRP. I was thinking the shortcut was the "Remember Me" icon with the checkmark box but I'm not sure how it works. I assumed if you checked the box you could just push Log In and it would take you to the site, but nothing happens. Is that the purpose of the "Remember Me" icon? Thanks in advance for any tips.

That's what I've done and never have an issue. It's only when I clear my history/browser that I have to retype my user name and password.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Thanked: 220No matter what I do it won't work on my phone or IPad. Do you log out every time or do you just stay logged in but exit off the site? I clear the background apps all the time but I have SRP saved in the home screen, still doesn't remember me. Not too sure on how it all works, and how it remembers anyone.

When I use my iPhone to browse the site, it has me permanently logged in, haven't had to re-enter password/username yet...just cleared my iPhone, tried again, no problem, stayed logged in.

I just exit the site, sorry I can't be more help. I know that I don't click on the logout tab. Hopefully someone more technically inclined can be of more assistance.

The 'remember me' checkbox sets a cookie in your browser that is used for authentication. If your session expires you can come back later and you will be authenticated again automatically through that.
If you log out that cookie is deleted and you have to authenticate with username and password (deleting the cookies in your browser has the same effect).

Yeah, if you don't allow the browser to preserve the cookie, then you can't authenticate with it. Not sure if that'll trigger any error message, but those could also be suppressed and you wouldn't see them.
