This..is an incredibly, incredibly eye opening thread.
Since it seems to be within the rules...let me throw this out there...
I make razors. I'm actually a professional bladesmith (mostly high end kitchen knife based blades), who just recently discovered the joys of shaving with a straight razor (seriously, a month or so ago I had a 4" beard...no joke), and immediately started making them. I've fallen in love with the shaving community in general in many ways. I post on this forum and the other large shaving forum (I have friends at both), and have literally been tiptoeing around here while being involved in a very in depth post about hones that are local to me for a few days now, going over my posts with a fine tooth comb to make sure I'm not 'advertising' myself or my business. The last thing I want is for a moderator to have to do their completely donated highly thankless job, due to my actions.
So, with that out of the way...you'll know where my next question(s) come from.
If I understand this thread correctly, I can freely post my work in the appropriate section (Custom builds I assume?), as long as it is not 'currently' for sale? I would happily do you one better and only post work (and WIP's!! ANYONE whow knows me knows I love posting work in progress threads!) that is either already spoken for, already sold, or experimental and possibly up for a passaround to test it out.
Is it really that easy lol? I'm genuinely a contributor, so I don't see that as an issue. Once things settle I'd gladly also purchase whatever tags were necessary to be a vendor if that were required as well. I actually looked around quite a bit trying to find a section that contained rules for how a maker was supposed to conduct himself. Now I understand why I didn't find anything!!
Anyhow, if you could answer that for me I would be very appreciative! I have no problem not talking about anything I make if that's what it takes to stay within the rules...but it would be so much easier to share various aspects of my knowledge base if I didn't have that restriction.
