removal of the classifieds restrictions
Hey guys, we are removing the restrictions on the classifieds. As of now, people get classifieds access from 14 days of membership and 20 posts.
From that moment you can place ads as much as you want. There are also no longer any rules about forum activity or otherwise. The only thing we ask is you have to stand behind the things you sell, so use accurate descriptions and be a honorable seller. And no zeepk or other crap.
Currently it is still not possible to post more than 6 simultaneous ads. The reason is that there's a bug in the software preventing us from changing that. I am looking into it but it will take a while.

Thanked: 3795I know you guys give a lot of thought to this stuff, but I think both of those restrictions are a very good idea and fear that changing them will lead to trouble.

Personally i am not sure that this is a positive for the forum, especially as you are relying on asvertisers to be honest.

Thanked: 3795Yes, exactly.
We have seen too many people join here simply to attempt to sell stuff. My concern is that this will open up that opportunity to people who don't know anything about their razors selling here as a free ebay, and the term "shave ready" will become meaningless.Last edited by Utopian; 03-11-2016 at 04:17 PM.

In a very small way it is unfair for those of us who had to play by the old rules but I don't have a problem with that, you need change every now and then to keep up with the times. On the other hand as long as the mods closely monitor the new members activities to make sure they aren't dumping crap onto the site and ban those that do then the change should benefit us all.
