Thread: Acronyms and 3-letter Abbreviations

Is there a guide to the various common acronyms and abbreviations used on the site? Some are easy to figure out but others that are privy to the straight razor crowd aren’t always very apparent.
Just a thought.

Are you speaking of the acronyms specific to the shaving crowd (eg, BBS, RAD, etc.) or more general ones (such as FWIW, JMHO, FIL, MIL, DW, etc.)?

I suspect he's talking about all the SRP TLA's (straightrazorplace three letter acronyms).

I work for a telephone company. If we couldn't use TLA's we'd be totally hosed.

Yes… I am referring to the 3 letter acronyms used on this site and privy to the straight razor users in general. Things like ATG = Against the Grain, and WTG, With the Grain.
There are some I’m not too sure about e.g. BBS, I can only think it must be Baby Bottom Smooth. I hope… LOL.
Anyway, if there is a place on this site for all these “enthusiast acronyms”, I would sure appreciate it.

I'm reviving this thread coz I want to know the TLA's

HHT, BBS (Baby bum smooth?) RAD, HAD, FWIW (someone explained but I forgot)

ETC ETC. A thread detailing all this would be gret for all the NooBs like me.
