Thread: Can't upload pictures

I'm having problem uploading pictures. I've have tried 3 different ways that I know of but none of them is working. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Nope. Works like a charm on my end.

It has not worked for two days now, it's very annoying. Each time I try to upload a picture I get a red exclamation.

Was able to up load my SOTD photo today by copying the img tag in photobucket and pasting it in.

Try switching to a different browser, Chrome, Firefox, iE, just to see it there is a change.

Right, this happened to me not long ago. I was using Firefox without a problem for months then one day it stopped working for uploading pictures. I tried Safari and it didn't work either, then I switched to Chrome and it works.

also is there an error message? it could be that the attachment is too large

I have realised that they perhaps are too large. I didn't think of it at first, because I have had no problems uploading pictures from the same camera in the past. But as I found out that it was only 3 mb and I was trying to upload a 11 mb picture. What is the maximum?

I don't load any photos bigger than 700K

I think it's set to 2 mb.

Think of it like this: A computer screen is only so large. It doesn't make sense to upload 5 times the number of pixels that can be displayed on a large computer monitor. Generally speaking, if the picture is a jpeg or png and you scale it back so that it fits on screen, it will always be accepted in my experience.
