    Cool Help with sideways pictures

For those who are having problems uploading, what appears to be, upright photos, only to find them sideways. (Typically pics taken with a mobile device (i.e., 'smart phone', tablet, etc.)) This "may" help...at least it did for me, 100% of the time.

1.) After you snap the photo, find the "edit" feature on your picture editing program. Now "rotate" the pic 90 degrees (either clockwise or counter-clockwise, it does not matter).

2.) Hit "Save"..."Done"....whatever's your device has.

3.) Close the picture editing program completely.

4.) Re-open the picture editing program.

5.) Select the picture you just rotated and rotate it again to the correct orientation. (I know, I know....it seems redundant, but work with me here.)

Now, when you upload your picture to SRP forums, they 'should' be oriented correctly. I say "should", because while it has worked for me 100% of the time, I only have Apple Devices (iPhone & iPad).

I know it sounds like a pain in the, echem. But hey, please take the extra steps, so we don't have to crank our heads 90 degrees to see your pic.

I found this out and it has alwayd worked. Took a few pics with my phone. All with the phone turned in different directions. Then uploaded to site and figured out what way i needed to hold my phone for pics to turn out right.
    Or
Take pic however you want. Upload to computer, use pic editor. Correct and save. Then upload to forum. Holding the phone the right way is much easier.top to the left, bottom to the right. Works every time for me. Android.

I do almost the same. I just rotate 360 degrees and hit save then close the program. That works for me and i'm on Apple devices as well (Mac & iPhone).

Depending on the format, sometimes this doesn't work. Ex: how many times has one taken a pic in what they think is the correct orientation, only to find out the device 'has its own theory' as to which way is "up."

Most smart phones and tablets have an editing feature built in. No need to take the extra steps of uploading to a computer.

The weird thing about this issue, at least for me, is that it only sometimes rotates my pics when I post using my phone. I played around with the resolution of the pictures and didn't have much luck that way either.

Apparently using Tapatalk doesn't have this problem? But every time I try to log into srp on Tapatalk it just times out before I'm able to log in.

Tried OP method and it worked great. I posted in "hone of the day". So far so good.
