As a question to the mod team: would you appreciate if threads that Ron (or anyone else) feels are misplaced be reported? Or will you guys tend to notice on your own? Just wondering how we can be most helpful/least irritating.

That is my personal goal here...to be the most helpful while least irritating. It's a constant struggle.

Honestly a pm about this to Jimmy and I would have solved this quickly and expediently

A "Report" causes ALL mods to react, and that is not always a desirable action for things like this..

ie: if the OP had been a PM it would have received the exact same result... Myself or Jimmy doing a quick search and moving the offending posts ..

You mods do a good job here. I could go either way with regards to combining/separating. I read both sections on most every visit. Not sure why they are separated but if you guys think they should be separate, let it be.

We separated them when we realized that the "Honing Threads" were burying the informational "Hone" threads pretty fast

Then we separated out the "Advanced Honing" section so that the more esoteric stuff that did not really pertain to basic honing could be discussed hopefully without confusing the Beginners

I could have done that to address specific posts. I only brought it up to address the issue in general only because it seemed to be happening more frequently lately. ANY way you guys want to deal with it is fine with me. No ill will was intended.
