Just sent in some $. I had to really look hard to see the new button. Here are a couple of examples of forums that use the donate option and place it on the 'new posts' forum page, if not all pages .......... Note Cast Boolits has the text in red, and The Puritan Board is quite visible with 'Support The Puritan Board. The posted amount is not usual, it is a special promotion and is the total so far by all contributors.

IMHO the SRP button is obscure, and limiting it to the BST is going to be missed completely by many.

If you guys would just let me run things everything would work like a Swiss watch .........

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Personally, I think discreet is very good. Only those who want to donate actually do so. Members and guests who do not wish to donate will not be irritated by what would look like solicitation.

    JMHO.
We agree to disagree then. We don't have badges in colors designating who donated what if they donated at all. I'm on a forum that does that since 2007 and I don't have a badge ... since I never chose to donate. It is optional there, here, and on any forum I'm on that has that feature.

As Nelson Rockefeller famously said, "There is no such thing as a free lunch." Somebody is paying for it. Nobody is getting rich from donations helping cover their cost for providing forums such as this one.
