Thread: Paid subscriptions are live

I've added a button in the navigation bar where you can access the paid subscriptions for the site.
At present, I have added only the payment options for the BST forum. We are going to let them overlap with the current existing permissions that were reused from the old classifieds system. We'll give everyone a couple of weeks to sign up, after which we'll remove the existing ones.

You'll notice there are 2 different options, with the same duration and value.
The one with the asterisk next to it is recurring, meaning that it will automatically renew every year as long as you let it.
Cancelling is done easily in your paypal settings.

please explain. i wasn't aware that i was missing anything. does this mean the site won't be free any more?

Yup - worked for me as well....I did the auto renewing one, no problem, receipt arrived right away - all good.

I'm also signed up. Now I just have to get my act together an post some razors on B/S/T.

Thanks all. I have disabled the subscription for a short while, while I verify the ones who signed up.
There are a number of failures in the transaction log that I want to verify.

Rest assured, the situation will be rectified. I see the transactions in the log, but for some reason they got marked as a failure instead of a charge so the promotion was not carried out. I will investigate further with the staff, re-enable the subscription button when it is fixed, and manually correct the errors.
In the meantime the current free permissions will remain in effect.

The people whose subscription was not marked active, were automatically corrected sometime between this morning and now.
It seems that in some cases there is a delay. I'll double check and post my findings.
