Thread: Totally new to everything about straight razors

Welcome to the forum. Every one of us was new at some point.

After signing in, I suggest checking the new posts. If you can add to a thread, or if you have a question about something said in a thread, feel free to reply, either to the thread as a whole, or quoting a specific post.

If you have a specific question you wish to ask, but do not see a thread that addresses it, start your own thread. If possible, try to start the thread in the appropriate forum. However, if you aren't sure which is the right forum, go ahead and start it in the subforum you think is closest. The moderators can always move it to another subforum if necessary.

It is best to make you questions as specific as you can. Provide details and photos if appropriate. SRP members of LOVE photos.

There are lots of great members here who love helping new members. Just be careful, the wet shaving hobby is contagious and there is no known cure. You may start off with one razor, one brush, one soap, and one strop and before you know it you can end up with an entire collection. In the process, you turn the daily chore of shaving into a wonderful experience.

I cant figure out how to post picture

Welcome. Wealth of knowledge here. In the Library, the threads, and with the members.

To post a pic:
When you open the "Reply to Thread" you'll see the top tool bar. 4th option from the left. Hover over the options and it will say "insert image". In the pop up click on "from computer", browse the image you want and insert.
Hope this makes sense. I'm not to good with computer instructions.

You can use the search box in the upper right corner to look for threads concerning things you have questions on. It is possible you might find this.

Unfortunately it does not mention anything about a C-Mon Filarmonic.

Welcome to the forum, sir! The toolbar above your text entry reply has some icons toward the right end. The 3rd one in from the right shows a tree inside of a picture, clicking on that one opens up the attach picture tool. Pretty easy to figure out from there. If you are not seeing those icons, try posting from your computer instead of a phone.

Check the Library area for great tips on how to get the best straight shave. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask away. The gentlemen here are extremely helpful to newcomers.

If you can, do attend a local meet-up. In person tutorials are the best way to learn the most the quickest. Good luck!
