    Default Advertisements section cramping page

The Advertisements section on the left side of the page is all of a sudden much wider than usual. It is pushing the actual viewable area for me to the right which makes it much too small. I just noticed this today and I am using Firefox.

I'm noticing it too, but only when I use the "New Posts" search. I'm also using Firefox. I guess we could try using Adblock...

I'm using FireFox 2.0.0.4 and IE7 on win Xp-sp2 and I still have the problem of the menu on the right not loading as well as part overlaying the main center section. If i try to read a thread I only see 2/3 of the post.

When you first loaded the forum did you use one of the links on the login form area on the main site (eg, "new posts")? That still loads the forum in a frame (in both FF and IE). This particular problem is on the list of things to resolve... you can avoid it by loading the forums directly (www.straightrazorplace.com/forums) or by loading the forums using the Community/Forums menu item on the main site.

Not to beat a dead horse, but just to clarify a bit, if I use the navbar on the right of the SRP home page to access New Posts, I get the collapsed-looking page you see in the attached photo. But if I select Forums from the Community drop-down on the home page, and then use the New Posts link on the resulting Forums page, it all looks ok. Easy work-around! Oh, and I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.3 running under Ubuntu Linux 6.06.

Thanks for taking care of the site, y'all. I suspect it's the single most valuable resource for str8 shavers anywhere.

    blessings,
    denis
