B/S/T visibility
I've been away from the site for a while.
Upon returning I immediately noticed the classifieds were gone, replaced by a B/S/T section in the main forum.
I'm sure that was done for good reasons, the old classifieds software was....somewhat lacking
That said, I must confess this change clutters the feed, in the way that I tend to peruse the forums.
Usually that means hitting the new posts button.
As someone who has very little interest in most what is on offer in the B/S/T section, I'd love a way to remove that noise from my feed.
Not that I want the section removed, I'm sure many members like to both shop and peddle goods in that sub-section.
Could the forum software be tweaked so that one could opt in or out of that sub-section of the forums?
That would have been a most welcome change for me.
Thanks for listening.Last edited by Birnando; 10-06-2017 at 09:47 AM.

I don't have an answer for you Birnando, sorry. Glen or Bruno could help you with that.

It took me a while to adjust to looking at where a new post comes from, but it's there.
Nothing like hitting on something and seeing one of the BST ads.
Still, some good discussions there depending upon what is for sale, by whom.
Sort of like looking a a necropost. Forgot to check the date!

Thanked: 13246If you mark the entire subforum as "Read" it will drastically lessen what appears from there

Thanked: 13246Hit the Forum Icon above on the very left
When the complete list of forums comes up, Double Click the Icon to the left of the forum you want to mark as "Read"
If you hover over it the instruction comes up"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"
Very Respectfully - Glen

So I double-click on the quote balloon to the left of the forum name and it turns from blue to gray. Nothing else?

You may also use the Forum Tools—>Mark Forum Read in the title bar above to mark all B/S/T sections as read all at once. You can use it on B/S/T sub-forums as well.

I see now! You hover over it and in a few seconds the instructions appear!
If you just double click the balloon, it is done anyway.....With no instructions!
I misinterpeted Glen's instructions!
Yeah, it seems to help if you are somehow subscribed.
Unsubscribing cures it good, however!
