Ive been shaving with a straight razor for several years, since I inherited my grandfather's custom made razor when I was 15. However, my nephew recently dropped my razor in the pond in my backyard (long story), and I cant justify a new straight for now. My question is would a shavette be similar to a straight, and would it give as close of a shave?
