Thanked: 1How do I chat?
Hello,
I'm new here and am trying to chat. It asks for a nickname. I fill in the first page with username and password, etc. It takes me to the chat page. At the very bottom I type something in and hit the return key. Then everything I write is highlighted in red.
I then get a message that I need to register my nickname.
How do I do this? How do I get chat to work so I can chat and get responses? Please provide step by step instructions.
Thank you,
July10newbie

if you just click the chat button, it will take you to a page to enter your desired nickname (most helpful if you just enter your username here). Then you click the box to verify you are "not a robot" and then the Connect Button.
Usually there isn't a ton of activity and most often the conversations that do pop up stray from straight razor shaving. but it's a good group of folks and I use the functionality. You should check it out!One man's opinion...

When you click the chat button, do not click the box that says "Auth to services"
Just enter nickname as Butzy said, click the box to verify, and connect and you should be good to goFind me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage
