Thanked: 0Tapatalk
Hi, I am a fairly new member here and unsure if this topic has been handled yet. I was curious to know if SRP will ever be compatible with tapatalk? I like posting and viewing on this forum as I do many others but I am finding it difficult to keep up with it because I am not getting the notifications via tapatalk. Regardless of your intentions to be compatible I still have every intention of continuing to be active. It would just be a tad bit easier going through the app rather than always logging in through the browser on my iPhone.
Hope to hear back

I believe support for Tapatalk was dropped sometime last year due to prohibitive expenses in keeping the forum compatible with their newer release versions.

I th8nk it was also drop for security reasons. Something about when you post up pics, they are no longer yours or belong to this site. They would go to another place and be stored. But, i dont know anything about it really. I dont think we will be doing tapatalk at all in the future. Although there is talk of upgrades in the far future. Sorry bro.
I had just learned about tapatalk when it was canceled here. Never got a full chance to try it, but i liked the idea of it.It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 603Yes, "but"... one might find oneself disappointed, in that most RSS readers are designed/configured to notify of new threads, but not of new posts to a thread. This post, for example, would not result in any notification vis-a-vis the thread (no popup notification, no highlighting of the thread or display of a new-post icon, etc.) How is one to know that new material has been added to the thread, or that an existing post has been edited?
Although I "CYA" myself by writing "might", I know for a fact that the issue of "thread modification" is one in which the "blame" lies with the CMS (Content Management System; in this case, vBulletin) that provides the RSS feed, not with one's RSS reader (I use FeedBro, in Chromium -- the Linux port of the Chrome browser).
PS: Feedly hasn't been updated since August 2016... there's meaning, here. You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Right down at the bottom left corner of the page is a dropdown menu where you can change the site's style. There is a mobile option available that you might want to try. Personally when I'm on my phone, I just use the full site too, but you never know - maybe you'll like the mobile style better? Worth a try at least. If you try it and don't like it, there's a "return to full site" option (or something similar) that will get you back to the default.
Also, just so everyone knows, work is ongoing behind the scenes to address things such as site performance and appearance, etc. I don't pretend to understand it, but those who do are on it.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I had a bit of a time readjusting from Tapatalk, now there's no problem. If I subscribe to a thread, I get notification thru my email account, for any new posts in that particular thread. YMMV

Thanked: 220I actually liked using the Tapatalk quite a bit. It was fast, readily available on my phone, and super easy to post pictures with it. I suppose nothing lasts forever though.
