Jimmyhad has the most posts.
Community>member list then at the top you can choose to sort by category.
Tom is a mere 10,000 behind!
Whatever happened to Jimmyhad? Haven't seen anything from him lately......
Forums "Advance Search" is a very comprehensive tool. Here for example is a list of all members active in the last half a year, with more than 250 total posts, sorted by the number of posts.
My normal finish. Last Place Again!
Thats closer than i found. But i was wondering about average posts per day, more along the line of who is the most active. Some have been around much longer than others so sure they are going to have more total posts.
Qick, someone write a program and enter all the info. That shouldnt take long, right?
Kentucky Windage but I'd say 75% of those on the membership list haven't posted in ages and are inactive. Maybe way more.
We probably have around 30- 50 folks at most who are regulars and have been posting for a while.
We took a big hit during the brew-ha.
You are at about 6.6 posts a day. I’m at around 2. Hence in your tenure, you post about 3 times as much as I do. Moreover, you are just shy of me in posts period.
Dude, for a guy who’s only been here for about two years and a mentor already, you are on fire!
The question is, why do you want to know? What is it you are looking for and why?

Funny-I've been on here about 8 years, seen a lot of guys come and go. Some will get butt-hurt over something, take their ball and go home; I myself did that when the grown-ups were fighting. Some get over it and come back after awhile. I did. I guess I really missed the camaraderie over a shared passion with some of the best men I know (plus I never really fit in on B&B;)).
But yeah, nobody's ever going to beat Tom (unless Wildman resurfaces, that is!).
I have been somewhat silly. TBH, I am a workaholic who passes by the computer from 9 AM 'til midnite.
I get weary of the news. The weather is the most interesting thing online, sad to say.
Nice to pop in and share my interests with some good guys.
You MUST realize half my posts are BS! They should not be counted.
As was said by Neil Miller; "I am here because it suits me".
Cripes I'm on the first page....
Some seem to post quite a lot.
As far as why... My mind just wanders a lot when driving for hours and it just popped in my head. No real reason.
The reason I post so much and became a Mentor so fast.... My membership cost me 2,500.00 bucks so I'm trying to get my money's worth. :roflmao
I'm afraid someone likes me too much and I will have to pay dearly for my status some day.
Tom, I still think you must be the most active poster. Now even if your posts are BS, that's still cool. I enjoy reading your posts. Someone has got to do it and your good at it.
The ones that got butthurt, well to hell with them! They don't know how to deal with this great community so they can go as far as I'm concerned. If they come back, then they will find out that whatever it was that made them want to leave wasn't that important compared to the great info and help given here.
I think its about time for me to pay my dues again so Ivan will toss another 1000 posts on my count. LOL.
I had a strong inkling that this whole thought originated on the road, Jerry, but resisted posting jokingly how the spark may have resulted from a combustible mix of gas fumes and Rocky Mountain "High" air.
:rofl2:
Yes, Mark. My mind has to wonder to keep me from thinking about what I'm doing and what I'm dragging around in my wagon. :)
I'm #38 on that list. I better start posting more. LOL.
You should post 5 posts an hour starting now. That will give you 43,800 posts by this time next year! Just think, in 10 years, you'll be #1!
I,m not very active but I am the most active grump! Tc
Nice one Oz!
Us curmudgeons have the nicest lawns. Tc
Another occasion where the laughing button could be used.
Brings back memories when I was in the Navy and in the Norfolk, Va area they had signs on the lawns "No dogs or sailors on the lawn".
I keep thinking of "Gran Torino"
That’s funny Oz.
This is an interesting thread because I'm one of the ones who almost lived and breathed SRP for a few years, got distracted by work, health, money (lack of) and other events, and have left and come back at least twice--never "butt-hurt".
The interesting part for me is that the only time I've ever checked post counts was when reading "advice" or seeking help. I tend to listen more to people who have real knowledge based on experience and are willing to share it. I've only met one SRPer in person, but feel like I "know" a whole bunch and can tell the difference.
I'm on multiple forums for my other hobby (handguns), and note there are people with high counts that say the same thing to every new member. "Hi from XXXXX" or "rack the slide 100 times before your first range trip" are my two favorites there. I immediately start ignoring them.
So, in most substantive ways, post count is immaterial to me. I'm still just trying to learn from the really knowledgeable, admire people who do things I can't do, and help the occasional lost newbie ignore "chatter" and get a useful answer to their question/dilemma. Sometimes I do that in a PM.
It's funny, post counts really don't matter/shouldn't matter. And I agree, I've seen more than a few dudes who bolster their post counts with drivel... but you would think that high post counts would at least see some transfer of knowledge. I mean, I am no hone king dude, but I've read enough posts where the big-boys have posted on questions, that I can practically answer for them. You would hope with 5K worth of posts - I'd know something.
It's an odd mix.
I agree with you David. Post count doesnt mean much. It does mean someone like to hangout and comment a lot. Are the comments quality? Did the comments help someone? Or were the comments just from what the person has read others saying?
I will say in my start of SRP, i got a lot of posts quickly because i asked a lot of questions and wanted comments from different people so i asked the same thing in a couple ways to get the different answers. Thank goodness for the ability to PM. Because if those were counted too, id be the top poster for sure!
There are three factors at play. Post Count, Join Date and a sample of the members posts.
That combo will tell you everything you want to know about that member. Really the last factor is the most revealing.
:) Bello :)

Then you were on my lawn too !!!
What about "Likes" .
When I log on my eyes go straight to Notifications.
Likes are the most important tally ;)
