    Default Where do I find...

Where do I find members who are vendors of straight razor services, from honing to repining to restoration? At present I have an inexpensive DD Special No. 1 which has a loose pivot. I've tried peening it to no avail. I don't know how to repin it myself and don't want to wreck the scales so am looking for someone who can do that. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't have an anvail. I use the side of a hammer as an annual and a jeweler hammer to lightly strike the pin.

Thought I took a before pic of this, but I guess not.

Blade has a bit of lite pitting along the spine, and tang. And had a lot of tarnish/ heavy patina.

Separated the scales, cut off the active rust at the pivot, then steel wool and 3M, and again with 3M and a rag.

Cleaned and flattened scales, replaced plastic wedge ( other was split ) and pinned with silver nickle rod, and SS washers.

Honed out chips n pits, and set bevel on 1000 Chosera.
Then my usual progression, finished on a B/G Escher, Barbers delight.
