Default Straight razor marked W. Smith

Hello there - I'm new to this website and live in Houston, Texas. I have what appears to be a very old straight razor signed "W. Smith." Does anyone have any information they can share. I'd love to upload a photo but haven't quite figured out how to do that yet :-)

In the reply window, there are three rows of icons at the top, the middle row has 6 boxes, fourth box over, fourth icon is a picture, click that and follow the instructions.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

About all I get from both photos is about 1830-1860 I think. I am sure someone will have more accurate info.

You have been so helpful!!! Thanks so much. In this time of self-isolation I'm going through stuff I've collected over the years and listing some of it online for sale. This razor happened to be in one of the boxes. Any idea of its value? Hard to know when there so little information on the internet about it. I'm sure I purchased it years ago in a box lot at auction in England. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for that!!! What I'm really looking for is information. I love doing research on old things and this one has me stumped. You've been amazingly kind!
