Default Help determining age of leather case

This J.A. Henckel 7 day leather case came with a lot of razors. Has an old repair on closure flap and Henckel twin man logo on snap closure. Was just wondering how old it is. Should I saddle soap it and clean it up or leave as is.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I can only suggest to be careful of soaking the stitching incase it is tired. There are a lot of feibings leather products that can give it some life, and protection.. At the extreme end of the scale is leatherique for restoring old car seats. I have used this on strops but it is expensive.

That logo was in use from 1900 to 1969.

    Pre-war for certain. Early 1900's I think.
Somebody pop that Henckels twins chart up and let's compare that button to the chart?
Oh! The RezDog did that! Looks like the 1900 one to me?

I would put it up on a shelf. Not worth much except it speaks volumes.

If it was mine when the repair was needed I think I would have stitched it with a leather string. Not glued an ugly flap over the rip.

Might be sonething to think about if you want to fix it up.

Thought about that. Just don't know what that repair is glued with.

No saddle soap because that means water which would be your enemy here. Maybe something like Lexol.

Maybe just best to put it on display as is.
