No time soon. Bots are the hindrance. Ivan is working on a way to kill bots

I can recommend going to the forum search box and seek out threads on your subject.
So much more detailed info buried in this forum than in the library anyway!

I'm confused when it comes to bots. When I looked up the meaning, I became more confused. This makes it sound like bots are a good thing. So apparently they are not?

A bot is an automated software application that performs repetitive tasks over a network. It follows specific instructions to imitate human behavior but is faster and more accurate. A bot can also run independently without human intervention.

My very limited understnding is that like germs there are good bots and bad bots.

I agree with Tom though, there is much more and I think better information in the threads than in the library. The library is convenient because it is in an encyclopedic format all in one place. The threads require more sifting but the info is much more in depth.

If it's about repair and restoration an in depth over read of the "what are you working on" thread is the best place to get information and tips. There is so much info there on everything you can imagine by amateurs and professionals alike.

I haven't abandoned it, will do it after https://sharprazorpalace.com/site-he...site-move.html
It's just the simpler things I tried didn't help and when it becomes bigger project it competes for priority with the other big projects and the site move is more important.

Trying another tool, so I've reenabled it to see what happens. Should be clear if it works within few hours to within few days.

Looks like it's working to me. At least on a brief stroll through everything was working.

There's no problem with the library working, the problem were the bots using it to train AI models on it for free and bogging down the whole server. The library is on the same server as the forum, so this affected the forum as well, making it sometimes next to impossible to use.

So far things are good, the load on the server is normal, so I think this anti-bot tool works and we may be done with this problem for the time being.

We're also using the free version of the tool, if the problem happens again there's the paid version that is supposed to be even more effective. These things are a never-ending cat-and-mouse game, but I'm glad that at this point we were able to deal with it in a pretty easy way. It took a while only because I didn't know this tool existed, but the other I day stumbled on it and thought - couldn't hurt to try
