Thread: Chat Every Night?

It seems that the thread title that is always showing in the announcement section is "Chat Tonight." Problem is, it's like the boy who cried wolf--the announcement is kind of meaningless if it's always there. Is there some way to change this so that the Chat Tonight declaration only shows up on the day of the chat? I realize it's just a thread that doesn't tend to have many postings but perhaps it would be possible to alter the main page to have some sort of actual announcement panel.
