Thanks
Don't mean to be misleading here- but this thread has nothing to do with the 'thanks' system, but rather is a public "thank you" to the mods, admins, and people in general who work behind the scenes to make this site a good one. I was kind of 'reminded' of this in a recent thread (I think) when someone mentioned the thankless job of moderating and admin work. I also looked in this section of the site and saw mostly threads about wanting change or improvement. Can't say I am not guilty of that, but I wanted to take a step back and just not care for a while. I wanted to make the people who deserve it feel appreciated. This maybe isn't really even like me to do, so take it while you can! lol
Thanks guys.

I could not have said it better. I am better at comlaining than thanking.

I'll second that.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 351Well, until the Mods and Admins start getting paid 7 figure salaries for doing this work, I suppose I'll have to join in with a tip of the hat to them as thanks for a fine job. Having been a sysop, running a BBS back in the "olden days" before the internet, I can still remember the countless hours of work at the console, just trying to keep things running. Heck, there were times when I'd be up at 3am, mop and bucket in hand, cleaning up the bits and bytes splattered all over the walls after some beta software I was testing blew up.
So thanks guys, for all your hard work and keeping us roughians in line.
Regards

Thanks guys. Managing this site is a lot of work. It's only 6 days ago that I passed 4000 posts
Less than half my posts are actually related to razors. The rest is about managing this site.
I do get paid 7 figures.
But sadly, all 7 are zeroes. Lynn forgot to put the 1 in front of them
Nevermind. As long as I like doing it, I don't mind.

It is easy to take you guys for granted & assume the site just runs, so thanks to you all.

Right on Alex. Timely and appropriate indeed. Wouldn't be doing this computering and especially the chat if not for the help of mods and members. Thanks to you all for a thankless job well done.

Thanked: 1587Well said. Complaining is easy. Doing something about it is hard. Seems to me the mods and admins do something about all our complaining.
This place has always run fairly smoothly. Recent times have seen a large increase in both membership and traffic, I think. The mods and admins do a great job of managing that.
Thanks guys.
