new article about the Shavette
Shavette - Straight Razor Place Wiki
It isnt finished yet.. I just wrote the article to answer some questions that keep comming back in the newbie corner.. as I still consider myself a newbie and I started out with a shavette I thought I'd give it a go on the wiki
Please feel free to add comments (correct the spelling or make it more readable) /delete parts where you think I'm completely wrong
I will add some put some pictures on there as well..
Thanks,
Maarten

Nice article. I haven't shaved with the Shavette but I have tried a Weck which is a replaceable blade razor from the old days. Personna makes blades for them among others. The same pros and cons apply IME.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 1212Well written, very concise.
I've never used a Shavette, so I can't comment on the contents, except that it all makes perfect sense to me.
Keep up the good work,
Bart.

Hey Maarten,
I believe there are 3 different holders- see: DOVO Straight Razors
I would certainly put the "light weight" issue in the downsides section. That was the main reason I upgraded to "big boy" straights early in my straight career.
Nicely done intro though. Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot kenneyty,
I've corrected the third blade holder... I already had the light weight in the "The reasons not to buy the shavette" I tried to put it in the downsides but couldnt really fit it in (if you can please do)
