    Default BBS and other acronyms

I noticed that there don't seem to be Wiki pages explaining the commonly-used acronyms "BBS" and "W/X/ATG." I wrote a short page explaining BBS, and will plan to write up short pages for the other three. Then I can see about creating hyperlinks from our many Wiki pages that use these acronyms.

I don't think I'm duplicating pages already on the Wiki, but if I am, let me know and I'll fix it.

As an aside, I think there may be opportunities for hyperlinks between already-existing pages. When I have opportunity, I'll browse around and see.

Thanks! There is an acronym article in the wiki, but does not go into much depth regarding any particular acronym or abbreviation. Feel free to include a link to your article from the BBS reference on this page: SRP Wiki: Acronyms and Abbreviations

Thanks, hoglahoo, I hadn't caught the acronym page. Writing up these four as separate pages gave me a chance to link to a couple of Wiki pages that talk in detail about the three passes (advanced shaving techniques and the multiple pass technique). Like I said, I'll also plan to look for places to hyperlink within the Wiki; that seems like a useful job that will get me reading the pages!

Thanks, Deepweeds. As explained by hoglahoo, there is an acronym page. Also, Wikipedia style guides suggest that short articles should be avoided. I have therefore taken the liberty of amalgamating your articles into this existing one: Basic Shaving Passes - Straight Razor Place Wiki

As far as inter-article links are concerned, we can give you rights to access a list of pages that have no hyper links. I believe that would be the easiest way for you to proceed.

Just because we all know how much everyone loves a pedant, I'll point out that BBS is not an acronym.

That's great, BaBerlin, thanks. I hadn't realized before that section-titles get a "redirect" on a "Go" search; that is, that a term doesn't need its own page to get hit by a "Go" search. The combination you've done makes sense and looks great.

Yeah, whenever you're able, let me know how I can access a list of pages lacking hyperlinks. I can "nibble" at them whenever I feel the need to procrastinate my work.

I'd better hope that everyone loves a pedant.

Is it because "BBS" is not a word, like "laser" or "scuba"? I guess "abbreviation" is the most specific, correct word in this case, right? I'll make the change.

    Default actually...

though abbreviation is correct, I suppose initialism would be more accurate

shallow and pedantic, shallow and pedantic, hehe
