Thanked: 416Video editor needed!
Hey guys we are looking for someone with good video editing skills to edit and cut into smaller files the live footage from the SRP national convention. We would like to be able to post this material in easy to view and understand segments on youtube. Anyone interested in helping please Drop Dwessell or myself a pm.

If you're just looking to chop up videos into shorter segments then I can probably help out a little. I'm far from a video editor but I've used VirtualDub to put clips together. Closest thing I have to a resume are a few videos I put up on YouTube:
YouTube - commiesplat's Channel
(yes, I love me some video games!)

+1 On virtualdub, it's free and very user friendly, I learned yo use it in a few minutes. Plus it has a video compressor included, very useful for Youtube.
When editing a movie (ok, I only made it once), I use Adobe Premiere Pro, but I select my footages with virtualdub.

And if you want to make some simple editing, you can always use Movie Maker included with Windows.

I'm in!
I spoke with Dave and he got me an account setup. I just need to find the file location so I can d/l it for editing. I have a small video editor we use here at work for streaming and TV customers. It's on the cheap side for simple editing. Sadly, I cannot use the high-end equipment for this.
Dave or any admin, I checked the Manage tab and didn't see the vid available for download. Maybe I'm blind.

I use Final Cut Pro every day. If you can tell me where to find the footage (or mail the tape to me), I'd be honored to oblige!

Update:
There are 4 main files that were made.
The main one being 90 minutes long, is probably 1 of 2 that SRP members really want to see. I have completed the clipping of the 90 minute show and applied the desired watermark. There are 8 files that I just uploaded plus the 90 minute version uncut with watermark applied. Once the original is finished uploading it will take some time for it to be formatted for the player before dwessell or anyone with webcast access can add this for final playout.
Personally, I prefer uncut versions for viewing the Razor Con '09 versus cutting the loving **** out of it and applying fades between camera man movements and technical flubs.
The remaining 3 original files I can clip and upload rather quickly, however one of the originals has a rear-end in the camera for a minute or so.
I'll hop back on the remaing files when I get time this weekend or possibly Monday. Sorry, but my lady and I haven't seen eachother most of the week and we want to spend time with eachother.
However, as I mentioned, if dwessell or Lynn wants to they can add the UNCUT version for playout once the webcast player has finished formatting.
