Thanked: 0idea...
on another forum i frequent, the home page of the forum has a list of the last updated threads...thus making it easier to see where the last posts were made...and making navigation a bit easier. maybe this would be useful on our site?
just a thought.
thanks

while we are at it. I really like the forums that take you to the new post when you click thread.
Also, currently when you go to a thread directly from main menu, it does not register that thread as being read.

What I mean is: Let's say that I click the thread title "shavette issues" under shaving. I would automatically be directed first new post since my last view of the thread.

Thanked: 0Korndog,
To go to the first unread mesage click on the little blue box with the down arrow just to the right of the thread name. To go to the very last message click the blue box at the far left of the thread under the posters name.
As for the not registering the thread being read... You need to click the "forum jump" link at the bottom right of the thread. This will update the board that you actaully read the thread and clear the unread mark. If you use a back button or ay other navigation feature it will not update. It is actaully believe it or not a design feature.

would it be possible to make the "forum jumps" go to the top of the page (where new threads are) instead of the bottom?
Thanks

Ok, I'm sorry but I just find this forum very difficult to navigate. Maybe it's because I use Firefox, but I never end up at the newest post and the key never shows clear the first time I get to the index. I eventually get where I need to go, but it takes many more clicks than would seem necessary.
