Posts per page?
That's it really. It used to be twenty to a page & now it's ten. Is it my rampant technophobia or have I buggered up my browser somehow? I just seem to be clicking next page ">" an awful lot more.....

User CP -> Edit Options (in the box on the left) -> Thread display options (scroll to it in the center). I'm set to "forum defalt" and getting 40 posts per page.

You will find autopager for Firefox useful: http://straightrazorpalace.com/352301-post3.html - it will simply pull in the next page(s), and display them inline as you scroll down.

I just tried what you suggested, holli. I am also on Forum Default. It also offered me 5 or 10 posts per page
I use Safari as I have a Mac & prefer it to Firefox as it is much better integrated to my OS.
Any further suggestions, gents?

One possible explanation might be that this is caused by the fact that 'forum default' changed several times over the past years (dues to software upgrades etc).
Could you try setting it to 20 or 40, and see what happens?Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

The only options available are "Forum Default", 5 or 10. There is not any way of trying 20 or 40.
Just tell the Mac weirdo to shut up & stop bothering the nice mods

Freaky.
The configured allowable choices were indeed 5 and 10. And the default was set to 10.
However, my personal setting was 'forum default' yet I saw 20 ppp.
Now I've added 20, 30 and 40 as allowable selections, and my own option is no longer 'forum default' but changed magically to '20' as it was set before.
The forum default is still only 10.
Anywho... it's working now. I am convinced that this has to do with changed defaults between software upgrades.Last edited by Bruno; 10-06-2009 at 03:42 PM.
