Thread: Tuesday & Sunday night chat... session logs

Sorry this seems to be creating problems. I thought I checked it all out before turning it live

edit to post -- I've changed the access permission to everyone instead of restricted... hopefully that will relieve some of the inconsistancies different people are seeing.

I don't have any idea why it doesn't work for you... it seems to work fine on my setup. (That's not to say there isn't a problem, I just can't re-create it to figure out how to advise you to correct it). In any case, when you want to view the logs I recommend you access them via the SRP homepage...

• go to  
• login to the straight razor place home page (if not already logged in... see the Logon Form area at the bottom of the right side of the page).
• click Help Files in the Main Menu frame.

You should now see the Downloads screen load with three categories: General Information, Permanent Archive, and Sunday Night Chat -- Session Logs

Click "Sunday Night Chat -- Session Logs" and you should see a list of files you can view/download (currently they are SRPSundayNightChatLog051016 and SRPSundayNightChatLog051009... these names will change as new logs are added and old logs are deleted)

If you click View under one of these Adobe Reader should load (slowly, might I add, depending on the version of Adobe Reader you have on your system) and display a copy of the chat log for the selected week (ie, 051016 = 2005/month 10/day 16).

I'm not sure when you say "chat's link"... do you mean the "Chat Logs" link I put in a previous response, or something else? If you follow the sequence above are you able to either download or view the files?

yes, that's what I ment... my english is not so clear early in the morning or late at night

i went to straightrazorplace.com. i am logged in as soon as i get the screen. shows finsfan. i go to the help files and click it and i get that message. hope it gets fixed, lol
