Thanked: 0Can I ask where I can find someone to Hone a blade in my area?
I am a new member and was wanting to find a place to get my blade honed without having to ship it off. I was reading the classified rules and it said I have to be a member for three months and have 100 posts for a WTB. Can I make this post?

Where's your area? If you're not opposed to mailing your razor and waiting a little while, check out the honemeisters listed here.

If you listed where you live it might help. What is "your area"?
You might want to check the member map here http://straightrazorpalace.com/vbgooglemapme.php
Not everyone is listed, but it might be a start.
Put yourself on the map while your there!
In the long run, sending it out to a known honemiester might be the best alternative.

I can't remember who is where but I know there are members in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. If by any chance there is an experienced honer in your area who would be willing to show you the ropes you could be honing your own much faster. That is assuming that you are going to want to do your own honing. I was lucky in that I had that situation when I first got started. Cut my learning curve considerably.
Go to the tool bar above and left click on 'community'. When the menu drops down you will see 'member map' at the bottom. Click on that and you'll see whoever is listed in your area. You can send a PM to the local member of your choice.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
