Sticky links thread

Since there are so many people that only come to the forums, there should probably be a FAQ and links thread that is made sticky on the top of each forum category. Something along the lines of the "Questionable razors/vendors" thread in the General section and mebbe a "Bill's restoration book" FAQ on the restoration thread. Sticky threads will give the newbies a good chance to explore the site, get the basic questions answered, and provide links to various places to buy all the equipment/supplies we've all grown to recognize as commonplace.

I personally have started a link list in my favorites of all the sites that are straight razor informational. I'm sure there are others out there looking for inforamtion just as I was when I first found this site.

That's an idea which has been considered before and as long as it doesn't leave the noob out of the rest of the discussions or encourage them to exclude themselves, I think it's a good idea too.
