Thanked: 143Defeat the Tweet!
How can I opt out of that little tweets thing that hovers around?
It is an annoyance and when I click on it I get sent to the forum search page, a seemingly silly result. Perhaps if I had a twitter account (or whatever is needed) something more useful would happen.
For now it would be nice if there was an option in the User control panel to opt out of this.

Thanked: 143Well that makes some sense. Just doesn't happen for me. In any case I was pointed to the following thread and have been able to kill it: http://straightrazorpalace.com/fo...tweet-bar.html. See post number 5 by northpaw.

Thanked: 335Frustration
Considering the size of my monitor and the insistent ad bar at the right and now the tweets on the left, I'm that close to giving up on this forum. I like it and visit daily, I visit the vendors sites frequently - voluntarily, I buy stuff from them - lotsa bucks go down that shaving hole, but I hate scrolling forth and back or clcking on quote just to see what my fellow shavers are posting. Don't tell me to resize the screen - I need to be able to read it too.
So, site developers, owners, administrators, is there any chance you can make this voluntary or are the ads more important than the content of these various pages? I'd click on ads as I do with the classifieds when I want to see what's new or for a specific product that I want/need, but it is becoming obvious that what the razor users are saying is quickly becoming secondary. Maybe it's becoming too expensive for the site to exist without the advertisers contributions, but when it goes over that cusp and it becomes all insistent advertising and the potential buyers go away frustrated, the ads become real moot real fast.

Yeah its pretty annoying. I use a smartphone browser, which has a smaller screen, and its a pain.
