Thread: Thx alot to all on SRP

This has been a great week for me, wetshaving wize.

I have been wetshaving with straight razors for almost two years, and in those two years I have grown some habbits on honing, shaving, stropping etc. I felt like I was stuck in those habbits, and needed to evolve.

My knives have always been sharp enough to pass the HHT, but i felt that my skills in honing and stropping needed to be sharpened up, so to say. I felt that my knives could be more sharp - and by god they sure could.

I recieved my 12.000 grit stone this week, and I made some threads on stropping with paste, where I recieved some great advice. I relooked on the honing videos and advice from SRP and finetuned my honing, and I even got the idea from SRP, to sand down and reoil my strop.

The result is definitly worth writing home about. My knives are sharp on a whole new level, my strop is much better, my honing is better. I feel rejuvenated and I feel that a have taken my overall skills to a whole new level.

Next step is to order the paddle and diamond spray from Lynn, and see how that works out for me.

And of course make some videos on my new discoveries.
