If you can't post in the classifieds then you should not be able try PM'ing people under the table. I have some vendors that have asked for that permission and I don't have a problem with that. This is a pile of junk asking for $30. Sounds like a total ripoff where even if you send the $30 you are still not going to get the junk in the mail

Just for the record, I don't think I sent that message. Then again, I'm running low on my meds so I've been skipping doses...

I too got a pm from someone (could have been the same guy) asking if I wanted to buy his stuff, to which I replied that I did not. I got a reply that he will send the stuff in the next few days. How would he know where to ship, was beyond me. I did not think of reporting, though I should have, just deleted and forgot about it.

Unsolicited PM's trying to sell things are not allowed. If someone posts a WTB in the classifieds, which is the only place a WTB should be posted, then you should by all means PM them if you have something they want.

Back before the classifieds as we know it today, I had a 'member' offer me a razor at a very high price via pm. He posted one of those 'look what I found' threads and I left a comment on the thread. We went back and forth a few times about the item and I requested to him to post a WTS ad so this conversation we were having would be public.

He sent one more PM to me and I never heard from him again after that. He even tried his shiftiness on that *other* shaving board.

Although I will admit that once I sent a member a WTS PM ... but the member posted a WTB in the classifieds, so I think I am safe on that one.
