What's up with all these crazy ads?
Very surprised to see all these off topic ads. The animation is a big resource hog on my pc. Pretty tacky in my opinion, but thats just my opinion. It's your site.

There is an easy fix for that.
Just install an ad-blocker of some sort.
I did that 5 years ago, and haven't seen any ads since.
I guess this site isn't at all bad in this regard though, the reason I use an ad-blocker is the national newspapers I read every day. They are so messy it isn't possible at all to read them without blocking out all the animations and mouse-overs.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Most of the ads aren't bad IMO. It's the one that all of a sudden screams through the speakers "Congratulations! You've just won an IPOD NANO!" that gets to me. Ads I understand and appreciate as we'd all have to pay to see this site otherwise.

Thanked: 328We had a DB corruption, which resulted in these 'back ads' being played.. We've killed them off.. Thanks for the heads up.

Didn't mean to come off as rude or demanding, just a knee-jerk reaction to agressive advertising. I enjoy my time here and
appreciate your time and efforts.

Good. I'm glad you fixed the obnoxious ones. However, I love seeing the perennial "regular" ads from SRD, Classic, Vintaqe Blades, etc. They're like bookmarks to me. I find them unobtrusive and convenient to click on when I want to window shop and drool, which is often.

Definitely, even the Thomson Cigar one is cool with me. I'm stocked up for now, but it'll be a good reminder when I do need to order more.
