Thanked: 270Don't know how to PM a seller in Classifieds
I want to purchase a razor, there is no Buy Now button, and I don't know how to PM the seller. I did contact him where it says "contact seller," but the last time I used that feature another seller said he didn't get the e-mail.
How do you PM the seller if you can't find a post he made?

Put his name into advanced search. If you opt for "threads started by" it should speed finding them up a bit.

i had this same problem, also go to message and on the left choose new message and then type his name into and it should be all good to send from there.

Thanked: 530Go to the top of your browser page and click on "Private Messages"
As you scroll down the page that takes you to, look at the bar/list/menu on the left, one of the options will be "Send New Message" or something like that... Click on that one, then type the person's screenname into the "To" box... The box will auto-finish the person's name if you only know the start of it.
Then you just type your message and hit send

I echo what ShavedZombie, Ganboyi and Ben said.
1. Go to search feature
2. Type their username
3. Go to a thread started by them (through their stats tab) or better yet through the "contact info" tab where you will find a PM "so and so"
4. When you click on one of the threads (doesn't matter which...it's easier if it was one that was started by them), you will see their avavtar/pcit etc info on the left the post
5. Click on their username...a pull down menu will appear
6. Choose PM "so and so"
7. Voila...you are GTG (Good To Go)
Let us know if any problems

Thanked: 530I did not... How did you send it? Did you go through the classifieds and click the button that said "PM this user", or did you go to my actual profile and click Send Private Message as I described above?
Because if you used the Classifieds shortcut, it sent the message to an old, defunct email that I joined SRP with... If you did the latter method and sent a separate message, I should have received it

Thanked: 270Thanks to those who responded to my issue. The seller received my e-mail and we made the deal. He PM'd me and I didn't receive it.
The way I was able to find a means to send a private message (before he replied to my post in Classified) was to search for posts he made and click his name.
I can not find a way to send a PM in Classified unless he responds to a post. You can only e-mail him in Classified.Last edited by CaliforniaCajun; 07-04-2010 at 06:09 PM.

The classifieds PM system is separate from the forum PM system anyway. I have found it's best to not depend on the classifieds PM system as few people check it
Find me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage
