Thread: Is there something special i need to do to place a classified?

i can not seem to get past step 1.

For Step 2 of 3 it asks
Choose the category you wish to place your ad:

But the drop down is always blank??/

You have to have a minimum amount of posts and/or time as a member. If you read the rules of conduct (here) that you agreed to when you registered you'll find the info in there.

WOW - 50 posts - while I understand the reasoning behind this I think you are limiting a lot of opportunity for gear from folks like me that get into the hobby and realize it is not for them.

Sorry it doesn't work for your needs, but it's set up that way to stop scammers from unloading their junk on SRP for a quick buck. Our classifieds are used by fine gentlemen who stand by their products and services and newbs and experienced alike have come to trust them.

You could also contact a mod to let them know your predicament to see if they would allow it this time if you are truly getting out of it as they may possibly make an exception.
