Thanked: 2591you have to have enough posts and 3 months of membership at least to be able to post in the classifieds.
from the forum rules
Members wishing to post a 'For Sale'(FS) or 'For Trade'(WTT) or a 'Wanted to Buy (WTB) ad must have a minimum of three (3) months of membership and no less than 100 posts or six (6) months of membership and no fewer than 50 posts. Exceptions to this rule may be made by the super moderator team.Stefan

Everybody should be able to post in the wtb section, but it seems that since the latest upgrade in the software this doesn't work anymore.
We'll try to fix it.

Agreed!
Even the new guy should be able to ask to buy things!

Thanked: 0Want to sell
I want to sell a razor but have only been a member since 2/22/2011 and I basically just read the info in the forums. Most questions I have are already answered if I bother to look for it. I'm not sure how posting 50 or a 100 times makes me a better candidate for selling a razor someone might be intertested in. Can someone please explain this rule to me. Not trying to be a pain about this just trying to understand the rational

I may be completely wrong, but I imagine that they only want people active in the site posting in the classifieds in order to keep vendors and other people from offering sub-par new razors and possible misrepresented vintage razors. Not sure if that is right but it sounds good.

Thanked: 0Thanks. I received an answer from a moderator. Basically the same reply. From my point of view I would rather offer a nice razor here to someone who will appreciate it rather than put it on Ebay. I'm not sure I'll ever have enough posts to qualify for using the classifieds. Not a big deal there is always ebay
Thanks again

Right, the Classifieds is a place for members of the SRP community to offer some of their stuff for sale. If somebody isn't really a part of the community they can always use other venues like ebay. There are probably more people looking for razors on ebay than on SRP anyways.

Thanked: 0Thanks. I have read quite a bit on the forum already, but as a novice I'm not really sure I have much to offer in the way of posting my own experiences since most of these things are covered in the many threads I have read. I hope that you don't consider me "not part of the comunnity" just because I don't post a lot.
