Missing Attached Images

I was just reading through some various threads and noticed in a few of them the attached photos are missing. This is not the case with all threads so I an just wondering if there is particular reason why photos would not be displayed?

Are you sure they are attached and not just linked?

Someone could have also deleted the attached image, but the the tags are still in the thread.

It could be a couple of things, the links for the photos are no longer valid, or have been deleted from the photo sharing site. (Common with older threads), or possibly the poster just cut and pasted the photo in which case it wouldn't show up correctly

Thanks Slartibartfast and CarrieM for the replies. It doesn't appear the images were deleted as some of the photos I'm referring to are ones I added. The two most recent threads I have noticed this in are "Shave Den-Again" in the brushes forum, some photos are still there while others are not, and I also noticed it in the thread, "Waterville, Better Than Expected" in the Gallery Show & Tell forum.

I don't quite know. I have somewhat of a guess and I made a change, so let me know if any new attachments from now on disappear. If they do it'll mean my change didn't work and my guess was wrong

I am experiecing the same thing. it says "attached image" and then below it is blank.

since all of these images are before my post i'll still wait to see if my change may have fixed it. we should know in about a day.
