Adverts
I used to get shave-related adverts on my screen when visiting SRP. Today only adverts of dating sites, vendors of slimming stuff etc.
No more vendors that want to advertise their wares here?Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.

Thanked: 328I'm in the process of changing adverts around a little, and as such vendors are sending me new banners. Should be back to normal tomorrow night.

Speaking of adverts, am I the only one seeing ads for the Gillette Fusion Pro Glide? I don't know that I have a use for Gillette products other than the old DE razors.

I don't know if it is true but someone said every time an ad is clicked on SRP gets paid $ ? For that reason I've been clicking on them. I just X out after they open. Like Vice President Nelson Rockefeller said,"There is no such thing as a free lunch." We don't pay for this site but someone does. If those ads will help defray the cost incurred for my being able to access this great resource I have no objection to them. Besides, the ad for the acne stuff has a real hottie girl. Don't lose that one.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Fair enough but do the ads need to be in with the forum list as below. I'm happier with them at the sides or top of the page

for me they vary, sometimes they're just capital one, sometimes they're the fusion, and sometimes they're mostly thiers-issard, or fendrihan, or srd, or cs. I thought google may be tailoring them not only by context but by user history (they certainly know who i am as i'm signe on google, and if i'm not they still have my ip and the cookies from my previous sign ups). i've never seen the banana ad though, i guess my stomach fat isn't worth cutting.

Now I'm seeing ads for the "Venus Blue" "straight"--if memory serves, that was reported to be a brand to avoid.
