Default Any left handed devs ?

Just wondering why the "new posts" button is on the extreme left ? Started out in the center before the last redo a couple of years ago. Then it was moved to the extreme right under the now disappeared "user control panel". Now it is on the extreme left. Can there be a compromise between the lefties and righties by placing it in the center ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Funny thing, on my screen it moves to the right when I want to reply to a thread or a PM but goes back to the extreme left when I go back to the forum index.

We're working on an implementation that puts "new posts" right where you want it, but as soon as you try to click on it, it moves just out of the way of your cursor
