Thanked: 335Sidebar information
Powers that be,
Why does the sidebar information for those who have an avatar display differently from those who do not have that darling little picture? Those with the avatar have their data shown next to the picture so it extends into the message block; those of us without an avatar have the data displayed without extension into the message block.

because that is what vBulletin, the software which powers our humble internet forum, commands it to do

Displays are identical on my screen.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Not sure if I'm describing it accurately but VB is the softwear format the forum is configured with. This is top secret info so keep it between us.

It isn't intended for user info to extend into the messageblock. I can't reproduce what you described in the browsers I use, Bruce. What are you using? Knowing might help troubleshoot it

Thanked: 335Browser is Windows Internet Explorer and screenshot brings another "huh?" to the fore. You're not dealing with the most gifted of computer users here. Least gifted would probably be much closer to reality. I can type and that's about it.

Thanked: 1371Bruce, if you click on "Help" and then "About Internet Explorer" what version does it say you're using?
I'm guessing it's v.6 or lower.
The appearance of this site relies on CSS, and Internet Explorer 6 doesn't fully understand CSS.
It might be time for an upgrade!
Any of the following browsers will work correctly (if you just want to upgrade Internet Explorer, use the top one. If you want to live on the edge and try something new, there are lots of choices!):
Internet Explorer downloads - Microsoft Windows
Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac, and Linux
Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client
Apple - Safari - Browse the web in smarter, more powerful ways.
Opera browser | Faster & safer internet | Free download

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
