Priceing razors
I know and understand why the value of a razor is not permitted on the site. I was wondering if a custom field added to the GARS system would allow for price paid and where was purchased from might allow for the building of a database of prices. This would not be subjective but part of the reviews. With any luck it would also encourage more posts in the review system.
EDIT: please excuse the typo in the title.

Pricing in the reviews would be tricky as prices vary quite a bit on used razors. New razors are within a few bucks unless it's on sale.
For instance, I've seen Greaves razors going for 15-50 bucks on eBay (un restored, questionable shape). I've seen them at a place in town for $10...

That is kind of my point. If I were looking for a razor and I saw a greaves on Ebay i could quickly look up what the selling prices are. Then decide based on the condition i am willing to max my bid out at 50.00 or maybe based on condition i feel maybe 30.00. A nice Boker in close to NOS condition is cheaper than say a NOW Puma or Filly. but for us just starting out there are many many more razors brands that we have no first hand knowledge of.
This was just something that came out of some talks at our Toronto Meet yesterday when a few of us newer people were talking about the 100's and 100's of brands we come accross and trying to figure out what is reasonable price. A quick check showed that the review system would allow this to be added easily and might be nice
