How do I create a direct shortcut/bookmark to New Posts
I use my phone for a fair bit of internet browsing. On one espresso forum I frequent, I'm able to save a direct shortcut/bookmark to New Posts. That's very convenient in my situation as it saves me a bunch of tapping on a small screen. When I tried to create a similar shortcut on SRP, it just gave me a message which said, " Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." Is there any way around this? Thanks.

Thanked: 5I like to use the application "Tapatalk" instead of using my phone's browser.

+1 on tapatalk, it's probably the most used app on my iPhone. I can't remember the last time I was on srp through a browser

Thanks for the link, but I think that's the exact same way I was doing it before. Thanks for the Tapatalk suggestion, but I don't go in for appifying the internet. I'm looking for a solution that'll work on any browser.
It seems to me that SRP's New Posts are being run through the search function, and the link above shows that in the URL. I think each time a user hits the New Posts button, it creates a new search. I don't think it lets users save a search, at least not for very long. And, like I said, that other forum lets me bookmark the Recent Topics. Perhaps it's a forum-software feature.
It's not the end of the world for me. I just have to hit the New Posts button like everyone else. It'd just be easier to access it from my browser's bookmarks.Last edited by SlowRain; 07-28-2011 at 02:46 PM.

Thanked: 19You have to type it in the address block and bookmark it BEFORE you hit enter. The forum changes it as soon as you do.
