I don't visit the forums individually. I always click the "New Posts" button and read from that page.

Me too, so I don't care about the categories. But it might be wise to keep related sections information together, maybe something like this:

Razors
Sharpening (Hones)
Stropping (Strops, Pastes, Paddles e.t.c.)
Lather (soaps, brushes, mugs e.t.c.)
Shaving
Grooming (Aftershave, Cologne, pre-post balms e.t.c.)
Restoration
General
E-Bay
