Thanked: 88An observation about the vertical ad banners
I'm not complaining, and the site need to make money, so this is not a criticism of the ads, but I noticed some unusual functionality with them:
If you are not logged in, the vertical banners can be collapsed. If you're logged in, they can't be collapsed. In fact, if you're logged in, there's a space reserved for the expanded banner even if there is no banner being displayed - just a blank space to the left of the forum content.

Thanked: 146Dave,
I have been logged in and am not experiencing that problem. However, you have to go to the top of the screen and you will see a small block with arrows in in on the left side. I f you click on this the banners will collapse. Hope this works for you.
Regards,
Joe

Thanked: 88Hmmm... I'm not seeing those controls. Perhaps certain components are being blocked by my proxy. I'll test other ways and let you know.

Thanked: 1371The problem is on our side... An oversight on my part that I'll fix later tonight.
Thanks for the heads up.
Oh, and for now if you log out and expand the banner it will show up when you're logged in.Last edited by HNSB; 07-11-2012 at 08:09 PM.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
