Thanked: 247Double posts a-plenty!
I am probably stating something that everyone already knows, but it seems that there are more than the occasional double posts lately....and they are not occurring with just new guys that might be making some sort of odd mistake (it is with veterans that surely know what they are doing).
The only help I can offer is that there also seems to be some oddness with Tapatalk crashing or attempting to double post when I post from my phone. I am not sure if that is the case with the other guys (tapatalk) or not...perhaps they will chime in and mention what they were using to create the double posts?
Thanks for maintaining a great site!

Thanked: 1371I usually try to delete mine. I may have missed one or two.
The ones from me are caused by Verizon Wireless.
I live in the middle of nowhere and connect over the air to their 3G network. Sometimes the signal drops, and the data being transmitted gets re-sent. (or at least that's what I think is happening)
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Well sometimes a post is so good, it's worth reading twice. It has happened to me once or twice and when it does, I either delete or edit the post. Technology, go figure.

OK, cool. You were one of the offenders I noticed
Something I can suggest that might help? At least one other site I am on requires 60 seconds between posts, I am not sure if this feature is implemented here or if it would help...or if anyone really cares (my scroll feature works pretty good, I just wanted to call it to everyone's attention)
Edit to correct...I see SRP uses 30 seconds between posts...disregard the above blather

@ work, posting on my laptop earlier, I hit send and pop up asks me if I want to 'leave page'. So I go to the url at the top and 'open link in new tab'. My post is there already. So I x out and go on. If I had hit 'resend' I would have double posted. Not sure if this has anything to do with anything .... just sayin'
Edit; Same thing just happened with this post.Last edited by JimmyHAD; 10-01-2012 at 08:16 PM.

Double posts a-plenty !
That's right & I like it that way.
Everything I say is impotent & needs to be heard twice.
