Can you explain what you mean by "every new page"? I haven't noticed this happening, but there are so many options and browsers that it would help me troubleshoot your problem if you could add some details.

I am having a similar problem.. WinXP/Opera9.2. Let's say I am browsing a multipage thread, get to the bottom of the first page, click on page 2 and when it opens the page, it puts me at the bottom of the page so I have to scroll all the way up to read the page from the beginning.

Guys... you're sounding like the little old lady that goes to the garage and tells the mechanic she hears a clicking noise...

The point here is that I have tried to reproduce this with both Firefox 2 and IE 6. So far, I've tried logging in as I usually do (ie, I get my usercp options), viewing as a guest (ie, I get the default usercp options), I've played with a number of usercp options, and I've tried a number of different styles. ...

None of this has reproduced the behavior you describe. That means you have to tell me more specifics about what your settings and actions are... or I have to suggest you go back and reset everything to the defaults and see what happens.

(as an aside, wildtim you need to seriously consider upgrading your firefox to a more recent version, don't ya think? Not only are you missing some good enhancements, you're really open to a couple security flaws that have been corrected in the past couple years.)

Joe, it looks like the common denominator so far is a Mozilla-based browser. Which settings could affect this freak occurrence?

Thanks for the suggestion RT I looked in my settings and it was oldest first, my prefered setting so I changed it looked at a couple of threads and changed it back, viola problem gone.

azjoe I'd love to but every time I try to download a new version my puter crashes or the conection drops or my isp boots me. I need something faster than dial-up but no-one but sattelite offers it here, at least that I have found yet. Besides i finally have the settings the way I like them
