Point taken mvcrash. I guess I don't understand airportcopper's question. Are you asking if the picture of Bart Simpson is your avatar and is it showing up with your post? Yes it is. Or does your question have an entirely different meaning like is Bart Simpson so pervasive in our culture that he makes appearances on SRP?

Thanked: 1587I took it to be more a philosophical question - "what is my avatar?" "who am I?" "can a picture define a person?" "are my words sufficient to define "self" in an online forum, or do avatars play that role?" "can we learn lessons from ubiquitous avatars such as Bart Simpson regarding what is "real"?"
